I’m sure we are all bummed about the postponement of Black Widow, but maybe this exchange will give us a little bit of that Marvel lady magic in the meantime.

The 2020 Schedule is as follows:

Marvel Femslash Events was created in an effort to celebrate and promote femslash throughout the Marvel brand of comics, films, and television shows. The purpose of the Marvel Femslash Big Bang is to promote collaborative works of written long fiction accompanied by works of art.

Participant Rules

+All stories must feature a romantic/partnership component between two (or more) characters who are not cis men.
+Participating in the Bang requires posting to Archive of Our Own. You may request an account here. Please note that it may take up to several weeks to receive an AO3 invitation.
+NSFW works (works containing explicit or adult content) are allowed. Creators are individually responsible for rating their work appropriately and placing warnings on their work.
+Moderators will be communicating with participants via e-mail, and all participants who fail to reply to a moderator e-mail within seven days will be asked to leave the big bang.

Writer Rules

+Minimum word count is 20,000 words. There will be no prompts or claiming; the plot of your story can be anything you choose.
+By signing up you are committing to finishing your work by the deadline.

Communication & Check-ins

Because the purpose of this big bang is to create written works that are minimum 20K, accompanied by 2 pieces of art, communication is extremely important. We don’t want any artists to be left in the lurch, without a story to go with their creation. Moderators will be communicating with participants via e-mail, and all participants who fail to reply to a moderator e-mail within seven days will be asked to leave the big bang.

Check-ins will also be very important for making sure that all writers are on track to finish their stories in time, and any writer who is more than one check-in behind (e.g. does not have at least 25% of their story written by the 50% check-in) will also be asked to leave the bang.

Please communicate with moderators if you encounter any issues, think you will need an extension, are having trouble finding an alpha or beta reader, etc. We want to help support you and make sure you are successful, but we can’t do that if we don’t know what’s going on.

Artist Rules

+Minimum art requirement is 2 pieces of art that are more developed than a sketch.
+Please note: Manipulations are not allowed for this Big Bang. All art must be hand or digitally created.
+By claiming a work summary you are commiting to finishing 2 pieces of art by the deadline.

Fanworks Due in 32 Hours - Saturday, September 28th by 8:59PM PST/11:59PM EST

If you would like to write some treats, there is a Treat Tracker Sheet. Please remember, per the exchange rules, treats need to conform to the drabble format(s) the participant requested (single, double/triple, and series/sequence). If you wrote something that doesn't conform to someone's requested format, you can post it to the collection without a giftee, or gift it to the marvelfemslashmod account.

Treats can still be posted during the anon period, which as a reminder is quite short: works will be revealed at 10am PST on Sunday, 9/29 and authors will be revealed on Monday 9/30 at 10am PST.

Sign ups: A Guide

Sign ups close on Saturday, September 14th at 8:59pm PST

Some of this is outlined in the Rules & FAQ but if it is reiterated here, I think it bears repeating.

• Gifts must be: a fic of at least 100 words long, or more depending on the drabble format you matched on. Participants will receive the same in return.
• All gifts must adhere to the recipients’ DNWs and your DNWs MUST BE INCLUDED in the optional details box to be enforceable. If a DNW is included in your gift, the creator of that gift will be banned from future participation at mod discretion.
• Recipients need to comment on all of their gifts by December 31, 2019 in order to be eligible to participate in future Marvel Femslash events and exchanges. If your gift is in violation of a DNW, please contact the mod. If you have another life circumstance that prevents you from commenting, please contact the mod.
• You have to request/offer the same drabble types/freeforms for each request, so if you only want to request a single drabble for one of your relationships, that will use one request slot, leaving you with 9 remaining slots. However, if you have 4 ships you only want single drabbles for in one fandom and 5 you only want drabble series for, grouping those ships together in two separate request will give you the most options for your other 8 slots.
• Please copy and paste your relationships from the tag set into the request form so that everyone is offering/requesting the same thing. A lot of the tag set needed to be edited or wrangled in some way, so it might be slightly different from how you nominated it. The drop down should help and should be tied to the tag set but I trust AO3 as far as I can throw it.
• Letters are not encouraged and there is no spot for a url in the signup, but if you want to link to your Dreamwidth or other account that has old letters in the optional details box, that is fine.

Rule 63 Requests and Offers
Rule 63 Fandom requests and offers should be made with the understanding this is for genderswaped characters e.g. Thor is a self-identified women (trans or cis). *Note: sexswaps where a male character wakes up with female genitalia but is still male identifying are not allowed. If you are unsure what the difference is, feel free to read more about it here.
